Guest Authors Wanted

Guest Authors Wanted for the D2L Community!

Do you have something to say to the Desire2Learn Community? Of course you do. You probably even have a place to say it, but I encourage you to say it here as a guest author on the Community.

Why? Because it will help bring the Community together to one site and it will help you earn D2L swag for your contributions (see Discovery Points section below).

What will you write about? Whatever floats your boat – as long as it has something to do with online learning, blended learning, Desire2Learn, educational technology or education in general. Stray too far from those topics and we’ll probably have to politely decline. Contact Barry if you have any questions or just submit the form and get started.

Submit this form to become a guest author on the Desire2Learn Community.

NOTE: Check out my author bio at the bottom of this page. Yours will be similar, depending on how much info you provide on the request form.

Earn Discovery Points

Discovery Points (DP) spend like money in the Desire2Learn Store. You can earn points every week by participating in the community.

Here is the current plan to award DP based on participation:

  • 100 DP  =  posted article at Community site
  • 50 DP  =  guest appearance at Coffee and Conversation
  • 5 DP  =  substantial (useful) comment on post
  • 5 DP  =  watching embedded YouTube video
  • 2 DP  =  each daily visit

We’re still looking at other ways that you can contribute to the community. I’m always open to hearing your suggestions. I’m also looking at new items to add to the store and other things that the DP can be used for.

Here’s what your Author bio will look like depending on the info you submit.
